We all are living in a society where everyone talks about self-love, self-awareness, mental health and more. But in a journey to reach somewhere there are a few basics that one has to take care of. How do we start a journey without knowing where we wish to reach. What is our destination, how do we plan on getting there and who should we take along?

Like any other journey, in life’s journey there is a lot of baggage that we carry. But today, let’s focus on what we are not supposed to carry and what are the things we must remove from our life.

Let go – Remove the old and create space for new. Unless we don’t make space for new things to come how are old things going to exit similarly unless we don’t remove the negatives out of our life, how are positives going to come in?

Guilt – is to the spirit what pain is to the body.

Excuses- lies that we tell ourselves. If we don’t take responsibility for ourselves, who else will?  Every time we make an excuse to ourself we are not only lying but also taking a step back from achieving success.

Negative people – it’s okay to outgrow people who are not growing. If you were to meet the person all over again with the following traits, would you want that person to be part of your life?

Anxiety- is like sitting in a rocking chair. It gives you something to do, but doesn’t get you anywhere. Overthinking is only going to ruin you. The longest and most difficult time is only until the decision is made. Once the decision is made, there is nothing that can stop.

Pleasing others- we lose ourselves in pleasing everyone and then lose everyone trying to re-find ourselves. As humans we are always looking for confirmation and validation from people around us, and in order of that we lose practice to follow our own instincts. Our aim is never to achieve something to prove others, but to only satisfy ourselves and make mental peace.

Negative self talk- we are defined by the stories we tell ourselves every single day; Recognize a phase, job, or a relationship is over and let it go. Moving on doesn’t have to be a dramatic event. Choose to move forward to peace and clarity. We only are what we think.
