There’s something about getting down to it, getting your hands dirty and taking action – and honestly, that something is what makes dreams come true. And that is what helps us sleep a satisfied sleep at night. Remember – a dream is not what you see when you shut your eyes, it is what keeps you awake at night, restless until you do something about it!
So many times, we dream, plan and replan…only somehow we can’t seem to take a step towards it. So, what stops us?
How about if we could have a serious round of questions to analyze this?
Just a simple.. ‘Is this really important to you?’
‘How much of unrest does NOT achieving you cause you?’
‘What else in your life would be impacted if you achieved this?’
‘If you achieved this, would it be congruent with who you are?’
Once we get through all these, we would have a fairly clear idea of how important our goal really is to us.
And if it is, is it worth taking even one small daily, consistent effort to make it come true?
And if so, what is that action going to be? How much time in a day would you devote to it?
Once you have answered the above and reached that final question, it should not be difficult to follow through. And if it still is, take a relook at the first question… Is it important enough?
And you know, who can walk with you through this entire journey and make your dream a reality? Your coach. So, go.. Get one!
Here’s a quick breakup of the steps that can get you to take action towards your goals:
- Question incessantly and constantly until you find the answers that fit in with your goals
- This will give you a clear idea as to how important the goal really is for you
- What is the smallest actionable step you can take on a daily basis? Start with this and build up into a momentum.
- How much time do you want to devote and what do you hope to achieve?
- Finally, set a time frame and get into action mode!
